After many years of watching dogs being trained using old fashioned, aggressive and harsh techniques, Krystal’s dream was to have a training facility dedicated solely to the promotion of positive, non-aggressive training techniques for pet and performance dogs.
Krystal’s teaching background comes from spending 20 years as a Marriage and Family Therapist for Forerunner Ministries in California, working with clients and diagnosing the source for many mental issues. Krystal’s ability to break down training techniques into their simplest form and teach both the humans and dogs at their own pace comes from all those years as a therapist. She now devotes herself full time to helping people and their dogs develop positive relationships through education, training and canine sports. All of Krystal's training methods, with people and dogs are motivational and positive.
Krystal continually attends seminars and workshops covering topics from training methods, learning theory, Agility, Obedience and Rally O, to Canine Fitness and Health, behavior problems and trick training in order to stay current in her teaching and training methods. Krystal is a certified CGC evaluator through AKC. She also is the President and Director of the Pet Prescription Team a full service Therapy Dog organization which provides Therapy Dog training and Pet Therapy Certification to pet owners.
In 2006 Krystal took on a new project working with 4-H in their Dog Project. She has said that one of the greatest rewards in this project is to see children learn about the responsibilities of owning and taking care of the family pet.
Krystal has earned AKC Excellent Agility Titles in both Standard and JWW with both of her dogs. She also has not only earned Elite titles in ASCA and NADAC but continues to competing working for her Mach in AKC. In 2007 Rodeo achieved not only his ATCH OP in ASCA but his ATCH SP in 1 year.
Krystal has said that she feels that her life has been so blessed by allowing her to do what she loves the most, which is working with dogs and helping owners enjoy all that a well-trained dog has to offer.
